What Is Oxygen Therapy?

Oxygen at Bionic Barbell is concentrated oxygen delivered by a comfortable nasal cannula while you lie in our TheraLight 360 bed. It runs at the same time as red light and PEMF, so one 20-minute block covers all three.

Here is the honest version. If you are healthy, your blood is already around 97% oxygen-saturated on room air, so extra oxygen has very little headroom to add. The research on supplemental oxygen and recovery in trained athletes is genuinely mixed: some recent repeated-effort studies find a small benefit, older work in footballers found none. We offer it because it is pleasant and it costs you no extra time in the bed, not because we can promise it does something.

Why Choose Oxygen Therapy?

The Post-Session Lift

Most people come out of the bed feeling clear and unhurried. How much of that is the oxygen and how much is twenty horizontal minutes without a phone, we genuinely cannot tell you.

Athletic Performance

The research here is mixed rather than empty: recent studies of oxygen-assisted recovery between hard efforts report modest gains, while older work found none. Worth a try if you train hard. Not something to build a plan around.

Alongside Red Light & PEMF

The oxygen runs while the light and the pulses do their work. It costs you no extra time in the bed, which is the main reason to add it.

Twenty Quiet Minutes

Warm light, a low hum, and nothing to do. A fair number of members admit they fall asleep in there, which is arguably the point.

Easy On Everything

No cold shock, no exertion, nothing to brace for. When you are too wrecked to face the cryo chamber, this is the session you can still do.

Who Should Try Oxygen Therapy?

Maximize recovery, improve endurance, and get the competitive edge you need to train harder and perform stronger.

Twenty minutes off your feet in the middle of a brutal week, with the light and the pulses doing the work.

Oxygen Therapy FAQs

What is oxygen therapy?

Oxygen at Bionic Barbell is concentrated oxygen delivered by nasal cannula from the TheraLight 360 bed's built-in O2 system during a 20-minute session, alongside red light and PEMF. Be clear on what it is: a recreational comfort add-on for people who already breathe fine, not the supplemental oxygen a doctor prescribes for a medical condition.

Is oxygen therapy safe?

Yes, for most people, used as directed. It is non-invasive: concentrated oxygen through a comfortable nasal cannula for 20 minutes. Side effects are uncommon. This is recreational use — oxygen you actually need for a lung or heart condition is a prescription your doctor writes, not something you get at a gym, so check with them first.

How long is an oxygen therapy session?

Each oxygen therapy session lasts 20 minutes and is combined with red light therapy and PEMF therapy simultaneously. You'll lie comfortably in the TheraLight 360 bed while receiving all three therapies at once.

Can I combine oxygen therapy with other therapies?

Yes, the bed is built for it. All three run simultaneously during your session at Bionic Barbell. Whether stacking them beats any one of them alone has not been tested, but it does put three modalities into one 20-minute block.

How often should I do oxygen therapy?

For optimal results, use oxygen therapy 2-5 times per week. Many clients do 3-4 sessions weekly. Frequency can be adjusted based on your training intensity and recovery goals. VIP members receive unlimited oxygen therapy sessions.
