Starting Monday, August 24, Wellhub members check in with the Wellhub app to get in — and the right door opens for you automatically. Here's exactly how it works.

What changes on August 24

From that Monday, the Bionic Barbell app, your keytag, your barcode, and your wallet pass will no longer open the doors for Wellhub members. To get in, check in with the Wellhub app.

Before August 24, nothing changes — everything keeps working exactly as it does today.

Why: this is a Wellhub requirement. Wellhub only pays Bionic Barbell for visits that are checked in through the Wellhub app, so an app or keytag entry means we provide the visit for free.

Three Steps, Every Visit

The same three steps whether you come at 7 in the morning or 11 at night.

Open Wellhub

Pull up the Wellhub app on your phone when you arrive and find Bionic Barbell.

Tap Check In

One tap. That's your check-in for the day — nothing else to scan or swipe.

We take it from there. The right door for the time of day unlocks for you.

Which Door Opens?

It depends on the time of day — and you don't have to think about it. We do.

When we're staffed

Mon–Fri 6 AM – 8 PM  ·  Sat–Sun 8 AM – 4 PM

Check in on Wellhub and walk up to the front door. It opens, and you're checked in at the front desk at the same time — the screen up front greets you by name. Say hi to whoever's working.

Evenings, early mornings & overnight

Check in on Wellhub and head to the side door by the parking lot. It unlocks automatically, right after you check in. No code, no key fob, nobody to wait for.

Missed The Unlock? We'll Text You.

Sometimes you check in from the car, chat with someone in the lot, and the moment passes. No problem.

If you check in outside staffed hours and don't get through the side door right away, you'll get a text message with a tap-to-unlock link. Tap it and the side door opens.

That link keeps working for the rest of the day. Come and go as many times as you like — run to your car, grab lunch, come back for a second session. Same link, same day.

One thing to know: the link resets at midnight

The link is good for that calendar day. So if you check in at 11 PM and step outside, at 12:01 AM it's a new day — the link has expired.

That's an easy fix: just open Wellhub and check in again. Wellhub allows one check-in per day, and midnight starts a new day, so a fresh check-in is waiting for you.

11:00 PM You check in on Wellhub. Door unlocks, link works all night.
12:01 AM New calendar day. The old link has expired.
12:02 AM Open Wellhub, tap Check In again. You're back in.

What Isn't Changing

Your visits still count Every check-in shows up in your Wellhub app exactly like it always has — and it still posts to your Bionic Barbell app, so your workout and visit tracking keeps working. It can take an hour or two for a Wellhub check-in to appear there.

Questions

Yes — for everything except opening the doors. Class schedules, bookings, your account, and your workout and visit history all stay right where they are in the Bionic Barbell app; your Wellhub check-ins still post there (give it an hour or two to show up). From August 24, door access for Wellhub members moves to the Wellhub app — the Bionic app, keytags, barcodes, and wallet passes won't open the doors.
Once per day is all Wellhub needs. If you check in after hours and get the tap-to-unlock text, that link lets you come and go for the rest of that calendar day.
Check your text messages — outside staffed hours you'll have a tap-to-unlock link waiting. During staffed hours, just knock or wave; someone's at the front desk. Either way, you can always call us at (575) 202-6498.
Only to check in. Once you've tapped Check In on Wellhub, the door handles itself — put your phone back in your pocket and walk in.
